Sic Semper Tyrannis

As our world, our hard-fought liberal democracies, crumble before demagogues, strongmen, despots, we should remember the example of Harmodius and Aristogeiton, lovers, tyrannicides, liberators.

We should bear in mind that no tyranny can succeed without cooperation and consent.
We should acknowledge that men, the men we love, are the principal actors in carrying out the will of tyrants. We must persuade these men to become an army of lovers, dedicated to the betterment of all humankind, and the destruction of those who who would cause us to kill one another for their own selfish and short-sighted objectives.
Yes, men create violence, and only men can stop it.
But no force on earth can stop an army of lovers.
